Job Description:

1 x Night time Support Worker & 1 x Daytime Support Worker required Ref No: 25328

We have unique and exciting opportunities for support workers to work alongside our client in Norwich, Norfolk.

Our client is a young man in his 20s. The youngest of three brothers, he lives in an incredibly loving, supportive, chatty, and lively household in the charming village of Rockland St. Mary, just 15 minutes’ drive from central Norwich. A full UK driving license and access to own transport are essential due to the rural location. He is a charming, funny, and inspiring young man with a wide range of interests. He is very sociable and enjoys company. He loves baking, quiz shows, getting out and about in the local area, and football. Most of all, he adores people. His care team describe him as a joy to work with and say he has nothing but kind words to share.

Rates of Pay:

We are looking for:

1 x full-time Night Carer (3 nights a week, 36 hours per week)

1 x full-time Day Carer (30 hours per week, hours and days to be negotiated)

Both positions include weekend working on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Our client has complex medical needs following a spinal injury. He has an Nasogastric tube for drainage and is fed by a Jejunostomy tube via his bowel. Due to scoliosis, he has a BiPAP machine to support breathing during the night. A concise care plan supports his needs, including:

  • Daily/nightly bowel, urinary, and personal care
  • Feeding regime
  • Physiotherapy programme

Requirements:

We’re looking for someone with experience working in a care environment, ideally with young adults or children. Complex care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be dependable, sociable, and thoughtful, with positive energy, solid common sense, vigilance, and good communication skills. In return, you will gain valuable experience and skills while working within a great team and a supportive family in a lovely environment, which includes access to areas in the home specifically for support workers.
