Job description

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, confident and hardworking 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Key Stage 2 team supporting a child in Year 6. The hours will be 8.40am-3.20pm, Thursday and Friday.

This is a temporary position supporting a child in a Year 6 for the duration of their time at All Saints.

You will work alongside and support the class teacher making effective use of resources to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement for the pupil. Experience of working with children with speech and language as well as cognition and learning needs would be an advantage.

Responsibilities include:

  • supporting the pupil’s learning in class and on a one to one basis
  • delivering planned interventions
  • facilitating the pupil’s learning to encourage independence
  • implementing the school’s behaviour policy to support the pupil
  • providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on the pupil’s progress and achievement
  • helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
  • establishing supportive relationships with the pupil concerned and their parents/carers
