Outreach Tutor Job Description

As an Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan, and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking to move away from traditional classroom settings to offer more personalized and enjoyable lessons.

Many pupils may have been out of education for some time, resulting in low confidence levels. It is your responsibility to reengage them in learning and help restore structure to their daily routines.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor each pupil's progression and support effective learning.

Contract/Position Details

• Location – Various locations across Canterbury
• Position – Outreach Tutor
• Type of work – Contract
• Duration / Likely Duration – dependent on each student

• Full time/part time – Both available depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
• Hours – Sessions can be from 1 to 3 hours

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent, or tutoring and lesson planning experience
• 6 months+ experience in a UK school is desirable but not essential
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable but not essential
