1:1 Teaching Assistants needed in Bristol

Academics are looking for 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support primary school clients in Bristol, working closely with individual pupils with special educational needs.

This role requires empathy and patience but is extremely satisfying and rewarding.

Responsibilities:

1. Working hours between 8.30am to 15.30pm (can vary slightly)
2. Ongoing education and training opportunities
3. Supporting children on a 1:1 basis
4. Conducting interventions
5. Adhering to behaviour and safeguarding policies
6. Regularly recording and monitoring pupil progress
7. Reporting to the Class Teacher daily
8. The ability to use your own initiative
9. Encouraging and implementing a positive and encouraging learning environment
10. Understanding individual child's needs and working to avoid potential triggers
11. Commuting to local schools in and around Bristol

If you would like to be considered for this post, you must have:

1. At least 6 months experience supporting children in an education setting
2. A Cache / NVQ Level 2, 3 or 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Education or an equivalent
3. Have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS Certificate
4. References to cover your last 24 months of employment
