Description

St Swithuns is an oversubscribed Good school with a friendly welcoming environment where every child is valued. We are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant who has a passion for every child's learning and believes in enabling an inclusive environment for the benefit of all children. Joining our friendly and supportive team, we need a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic colleague to support all children.

You will work as part of a team to primarily provide personal and learning support to an individual; however, you may also be required to work with groups of pupils to enable them to achieve to the best of their ability.

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working on a 1:1 basis, ideally in Year R.

With a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic approach, you will be committed to developing effective working relationships with children, parents/carers, staff, and other professionals to enable the very best support for pupils' learning and development, whilst promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.

We do require all applicants to have English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.0 with no component score below 5.5, as well as English and Maths GCSE Grade 5 or above.

Closing Date: 9 am 12th June 2025

Interview Date: 19th June 2025

Required Start Date: 3rd September

Contract: 1:1 contract, term time only

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45 am - 3.30 pm (31.25 hours per week). All annual leave to be taken during school holidays.

Salary Details: Band 3 FTE pro-rata
