Job description

Desian Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Reception class in a lovely South Liverpool primary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individual support for a pupil with Autism, helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

About the Role:
  1. Working closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored support for a pupil with Autism.
  2. Supporting the child's learning, communication, and social development through structured interventions and day-to-day classroom activities.
  3. Helping to implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
  4. Creating a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
About You:
  1. Previous experience working with children with Autism or in an SEN setting (preferred).
  2. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  4. A passion for supporting early years education and inclusive learning.
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable.
