Job Description:

Hays Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a primary or secondary school student in Bristol. This part-time position offers morning hours only, providing tailored support to an individual student. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will help the student with their learning and development, fostering a positive, supportive environment that meets their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a student, helping with academic tasks and personal development.
• Assist students with specific learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN), ensuring full participation in class activities.
• Support emotional, social, and behavioural development, promoting confidence and independence.
• Liaise with teachers to monitor and support the student's progress and well-being.
• Assist with in-class activities and provide additional help as needed.
• Help prepare resources and materials to support learning.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting or with children with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students.
• Patience and empathy, focusing on student well-being and progress.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist if needed).
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
