1:1 Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary
Location: Chichester
Salary: £70 to £110 dependent on experience*
Start Date: ASAP until August 2026

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. This role involves working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support that helps pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally

What are your responsibilities?

  • Provide one-to-one support for a child with additional needs, adapting learning activities to suit their individual requirements.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and preparing resources to support learning.
  • Work with small groups when needed to reinforce learning and encourage engagement.
  • Support children with social communication, learning difficulties, physical needs, and speech and language development.
  • Help manage challenging behaviour with a calm, firm, and positive approach.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.
