Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Type: Full time / part time

Salary: 90- 105 P/D PAYE

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Tradewind is proud to be collaborating with a number of excellent mainstream and special educational needs (SEN) schools across the High Wycombe area. These schools are on the lookout for passionate and committed educators who can make a genuine difference in the lives of their SEN students.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your role will primarily involve one-to-one support for pupils with a variety of needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and global developmental delays.

You will play a key role in implementing each student's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and work closely with the school's SENDCO and parents to provide progress updates and contribute to ongoing support strategies.

These positions typically begin on a temporary basis, but high-performing candidates are frequently offered permanent opportunities within our partner schools.

What do we look for in a 1:1 Teaching Assistant?

  • A reliable person who can provide consistency for SEN Children
  • Strong relationship builder with parents, staff and most importantly children
  • Previous experience with SEN would be highly beneficial - whether in a personal or professional capacity.
