St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Brewood is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with tailored learning needs. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO, and broader staff to help the pupil access the curriculum and develop confidence in a nurturing environment.

The role focuses on individualised support, promoting positive behaviour, and building independence while safeguarding every child. 32.5 hours/week, term-time only plus INSETS.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils, helping them engage with the curriculum, develop their skills and build confidence in a positive, nurturing and inclusive environment.

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only plus INSETS

About the Role:

Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCO and wider school team, you will provide individual support to help the child access learning, participate in classroom activities and develop greater independence.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to meet the child’s individual learning and developmental needs.
• Supporting the child to access the curriculum and engage in learning activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Developing the child’s confidence, communication skills and independence.
• Supporting participation in classroom routines and wider school life.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and following agreed strategies to support the child’s progress.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and caring learning environment in which every child feels supported and valued.

Previous experience in a primary school or working with children with additional needs would be an advantage.
