1:1 Teaching Assistant

Role & Responsibilities

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to a child in an Early Years setting. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement learning plans, and create a positive and engaging learning experience for the child. You will help the child to reach their full potential.

Main tasks include
  • Delivering individualised learning support to a child with SEN.
  • Collaborating with the teacher to develop and implement learning plans.
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitoring and documenting the child's progress.
  • Communicating regularly with parents/carers.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification.
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting.
  • Immediate availability.
