Daily Rate: £89.38 – £118 (depending on experience)

We are recruiting committed and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in primary schools throughout Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a child who requires extra support to reach their full potential.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, EAL, or behavioural needs
Work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies
Assist with learning activities, behaviour management, and emotional regulation
Help the pupil access the curriculum and engage positively with peers
Build a trusting and supportive relationship to encourage independence and confidence
Experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, nurseries, care, or youth settings)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Willingness to work closely with school staff, parents, and outside agencies
Knowledge of SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH, is beneficial but not essential
Full-time, long-term 1:1 TA roles in welcoming Leeds primary schools
Ongoing CPD, including training in phonics, safeguarding, behaviour support, and SEND
