Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in local schools across Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, Horley, West Ashtead and surrounding Surrey areas. September start, long-term and flexible options available.

The role involves working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement learning plans, deliver small group interventions and foster an inclusive learning environment while supporting pupils’ confidence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • Patience, compassion and enthusiasm are important.
  • Flexibility to meet a range of learning and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement learning plans.
  • Deliver targeted small group interventions.
  • Create a positive, nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence and confidence.

Milk education seeking to appoint caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in local schools

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans
  • Deliver targeted small group interventions
  • Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence, and confidence
  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where appropriate

  • Has experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
