Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Full Time/Part time

Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing environment? If so, GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join a local school based in Bournemouth immediately.

About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral part in ensuring that all children, including those with SEN, receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom management
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, especially for children with SEN
• Assist in creating and implementing personalised learning plans
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Encourage children to take responsibility for their learning and development
• Promote social, emotional, and academic growth in students, helping them build resilience and confidence
• Support the safeguarding and well-being of all students

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or educational setting is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development, especially those with SEN
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and parents
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable with a positive attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
