Job description

We’re working with secondary schools in Birmingham to recruit a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on a student’s education by providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Role Responsibilities

Support students with special educational needs both inside and outside the classroom

Assist in the delivery of lesson content and classroom management

Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need additional help

Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students are engaged and progressing

Candidate Requirements

Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting (desirable)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to student welfare and education

Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to support

Understanding of special educational needs (SEN)

Experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferable but not essential)
