Job summary

Justteachers is seeking a 1:1 Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive special school in the Bradford area on a long‑term basis. This full‑time role is available to start in September, with shortlisting underway.

The role involves supporting a pupil with SEND on a 1:1 basis, delivering tailored learning activities, applying behaviour management strategies, and working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, youth work, or support work.
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally in a special school or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management, de‑escalation strategies, and emotional regulation approaches.
• Two professional references, ideally from education or school‑based settings.
