Job summary

ACS International School Egham is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support Upper School students in Grade 6 and Grade 11, helping them engage and reach their potential.

You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff, provide pastoral and emotional support, and uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards within a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.

Start ASAP, full-time, term-time only (08:30–15:30), fixed salary, based in TW20 0HS.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary or upper school-aged students.
• SEN experience highly desirable.
• Calm, patient, positive and resilient.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Committed to safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support across a range of lessons and subjects.
• Help students stay focused, engaged, organised, and independent.
• Adapt and support the use of learning materials as needed.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, self-advocacy and independence.
• Provide pastoral and emotional support throughout the school day.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and parents to support student progress.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Promote and uphold safeguarding and student wellbeing standards.
