Job summary

AP Education is recruiting SEND Tutors for 1:1 support in Hull. You will deliver maths, English, or science content and support learners with SEND/SEMH needs. The role requires compassionate, patient delivery and collaboration with other professionals.

Successful applicants will work term-time only, with flexible hours up to 30 per week, and a weekly pay structure. DBS enhanced disclosure is part of onboarding, and prior UK-based SEND experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND/SEMH.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core subjects or SEND-specific content.
• Apply positive behaviour management strategies.
• Assess learners and tailor support to needs.
• Prepare progress reports and liaise with professionals as needed.
• Assist learners’ transition to mainstream or specialist settings.
