Job summary

Quantum Scholars are seeking experienced SEND/SEMH tutors for 1:1 tuition and mentoring in the Wokingham area. Roles are part-time with flexible hours and immediate start opportunities, extending across Berkshire and surroundings.

Tutors will support primary and secondary pupils with SEND/SEMH needs in homes, libraries, or other learning settings, delivering personalised tuition and pastoral support. Ideal candidates have SEND/SEMH experience, strong communication, and a patient, empathetic

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND/SEMH and supporting pupils individually.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs and learning styles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, individualised 1:1 sessions.
• Adapt lessons to suit each pupil's needs and abilities.
• Support academic development and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families.
• Encourage confidence, resilience and motivation.
• Use creative strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
