Job summary

AP Education is recruiting SEND Tutors for 1:1 support in Hull. You will work on a face-to-face basis with students from Early Years to KS4, delivering Maths, English, Science or SEND-specific content, using positive behaviour strategies and a patient approach.

The role involves collaboration with SALT, OT, and Social Workers, baseline assessments, and regular progress reporting. QTS or HLTA preferred; two years UK experience without qualifications is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and initiative-taking attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face 1:1 support with students from Early Years to KS4.
• Provide core subjects or SEND-specific content with positive behaviour strategies.
• Liaise with external professionals to support learners and welfare matters.
• Prepare progress reports and support attendance reporting.
• Assist learners in transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
