Job summary

AP Education is seeking SEND Tutors for 1:1 support in Enfield and surrounding areas. Earn £28-£35 per hour with up to 30 hours per week during term-time. You will support learners with SEND/SEMH, delivering Maths, English, Science or SEND-specific sessions.

Role involves behaviour management, baseline assessments, progress reporting, and collaboration with SALT/OT/Social Workers to tailor interventions. DBS is required upon appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH.
• QTS or HLTA preferred; UK experience considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Compassionate, dependable and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core subjects or SEND-specific support.
• Apply positive behaviour strategies with patience.
• Provide a therapeutic and adaptable approach to education.
• Perform baseline academic and emotional assessments.
• Prepare progress reports and liaise with SALT/OT/Social Workers.
• Assist learners transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
