Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is assisting in recruiting a Specialist 1:1 Tutor for a Year 10 student in Peterborough. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a 9am–12pm and 2pm–5pm schedule.

You will deliver a structured education plan across English, Maths, Science, and life skills, supporting the student with autism and complex needs. The tutor will follow risk assessments, adapt resources, and provide reassurance during anxious periods.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a Year 10 student with autism, complex SEND, anxiety and sensory needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching materials to individual needs and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring for a Year 10 student in Peterborough.
• Deliver a structured, differentiated programme across English, Maths, Science and Life skills.
• Maintain a calm, safe environment; follow risk assessments and plan activities accordingly.
• Support EHCP outcomes and preparation for adulthood.
• Use the student’s interests to motivate learning and connect topics to real life.
