Connex Education has partnered with our client to assist children who are unable to attend school. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher/Tutor to provide home-based education and support for students’ academic, mental, and emotional development. Our students often have complex learning requirements, so experience with ASD/ASC, SEMH, Dyslexia/Dyspraxia, and trauma would be highly beneficial.

  • Provide individualized tutoring to students who are disengaged from education or facing academic challenges.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing their self-esteem, subject comprehension, and overall academic success.
  • Commitment of 12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions in the student’s home, with a parent or carer present.
  • Opportunity to take on additional students if desired.
  • Travel expenses covered for assignments under 3 hours per day.
  • Competitive hourly rate of £30 – £35 + PPA time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Prepare session engagement reports for all tutoring sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive student support.
  • Participate in mandatory training and adhere to safeguarding standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential.
  • At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct effective educational sessions.
  • Experience in supporting students with SEN/SEMH is essential. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
