Job Description:

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 5 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school near Sutton Scotney, Winchester. This full-time role involves providing individualised support to a child with special educational needs, focusing on their learning and development. The child does not exhibit physical behaviours and responds positively to calm, confident, and supportive staff.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN in Year 5.
  • Assist in the child's learning and development, ensuring access to the curriculum.
  • Implement IEPs and adapt teaching methods to meet the child's needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to support progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of development and progress.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Provide references upon request.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training or willingness to undertake.
