Job summary

Randstad Education is currently recruiting an empathetic and proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary pupil with Special Educational Needs at a welcoming primary school in Leeds. You will provide tailored 1:1 learning support, foster independence, and build a positive dynamic with the pupil and classroom teacher in a supportive school environment.

UK experience is essential, and safeguarding compliance including an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is required or

Qualifications

• Recent, verifiable experience working with children in a UK school (minimum 6 months).
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, such as ASC/ADHD/SEMH.
• Enhanced DBS check registered with Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 learning support to a primary pupil with SEN.
• Foster independence and a positive dynamic with the pupil and classroom teacher.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing in the classroom.
