Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (term-time only)

Vision for Education is seeking a caring and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Romford.
The Role
Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEMH needs within a primary classroom setting
Helping the pupil engage with learning, manage emotions, and build trusting relationships
Collaborating with teachers, the SENCo, and external professionals to implement support strategies
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
About You
Experience supporting children with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs (essential)
Calm, empathetic, and patient, with a positive approach to behaviour management
A strong communicator and team player
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
