Job summary

A Stoke-on-Trent school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a student with additional needs on a 1-1 basis. The role is full-time and requires DBS on the update service, Level 2/3 TA qualification, and prior primary school experience.

You will work as part of a team to inspire the child, promote inclusion, and help deliver tailored education plans within the classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent for ratio purposes.
• Experience working with children who have additional needs (SEN).
• Experience in a Primary School setting (preferably 6+ months).
• Updated DBS on the Update Service.
• Ability to inspire children and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to a student with additional needs.
• Assist within the classroom to help meet individual education plans.
• Support the student to engage with lessons and feel part of the class.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver effective learning.
