Are you a resilient, compassionate, and creative educator ready to make a real difference?

We're looking for a skilled and adaptable 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 3-18 with a range of special educational needs including SEMH, challenging behaviours, learning disabilities, and complex needs.

This is an ad hoc position based in Solihull, perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, hands-on role and is passionate about providing high-quality, individualised support in education.

Your role will include:

  1. Working 1:1 with pupils with diverse and often complex needs
  2. Creating and delivering bespoke lesson plans and learning activities
  3. Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviours
  4. Adapting resources and strategies to meet individual learning styles
  5. Collaborating closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families
  6. Working across a variety of settings depending on student placement

What we're looking for:
  1. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, including SEMH and complex behaviours
  2. Ability to create tailored educational content that supports progress and engagement
  3. Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
  4. A flexible and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for inclusive education
  5. Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in SEND support (desirable)
