GSL Education is looking for a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive SEN or mainstream school in Grantham, Lincolnshire. This is a full-time, term-time role working closely with a student who requires additional, personalised support to thrive in the classroom.
Provide 1:1 support to a student with specific SEN needs (such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH)
Assist with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Offer consistency and encouragement to help the pupil build confidence and progress
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
Ability to follow tailored learning plans and behavioural strategies
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply via GSL Education)
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and well-being
Full-time, consistent work during term time
