Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and work closely with a pupil who requires individualised support.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a designated student to support their learning, communication, social interaction, and emotional development. You’ll be a vital part of a collaborative team that strives to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Start Date: Monday 1 st September 2025

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)

- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support learning across the curriculum

- Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment

- Liaise with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and assessments

- Support the student during break times and transitions, where needed

About You:

- Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)

- Empathetic, patient, and resilient with a calm and positive approach

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team

- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
