About the Role:
A Bolton primary school is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a young child who has additional needs and displays challenging behaviour. The role involves delivering tailored support, applying behaviour management techniques, and encouraging positive engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer 1:1 support for a child with SEN and behavioural challenges.
  • Apply personalised learning and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Help the child build social and emotional development skills.
  • Establish a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil.

Requirements:

A current, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Effective behaviour management abilities with a calm and patient demeanour.

A strong passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
