1:1 Primary Tutor

Location: S80

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Primary Tutor to join our team and provide tailored, one-to-one support for primary school students. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping young learners build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

If you have a strong background in primary education, are compassionate, and enjoy working closely with children to unlock their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalised, engaging, and supportive tutoring sessions to primary school students (ages 4-11).
  • Provide assistance in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, ensuring sessions are tailored to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
  • Help students strengthen their foundation skills, build confidence, and develop effective study habits.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that are both fun and educational.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and patient learning environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A degree in Education or a relevant subject.
  • Prior experience of teaching/tutoring or working with primary-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for primary education.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
