Remedy Education in Ilford is seeking an Outreach Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition for a looked-after child in a residential care home. You will focus on English, Maths and Science, delivering 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a patient and supportive approach.

The role requires building trust with the student, adapting lessons to their needs and coordinating with care staff to monitor progress. DBS check is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
• Experience with looked-after children or vulnerable learners is desirable.
• DBS update service preferred or willingness to apply.

Responsabilités

• Deliver 1:1 tuition within a residential care home.
• Teach core subjects English, Maths and Science.
• Plan and adapt lessons to student ability and needs.
• Build trust and maintain professional boundaries with the student.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to care staff as needed.
• Collaborate with care staff and other professionals involved in support.
