1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Waldo Williams Primary School

Salary: Grade 3 - £24,027 pro rata

This is a fixed term position required for 29 hours per week, term time only.

Grade 3 - £24,027.00 for 29 hours per week for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £16,542.09 pro rata.

At Waldo Williams Primary School, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where our youngest pupils can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our team is passionate about early childhood education and we are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join us.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a pupil with specific learning needs including communication and learning needs. On occasions, intimate care and support with mobility might be required. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, provide tailored support, and help enhance the pupil's academic and social development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the pupil in daily learning activities.
  • Adapt teaching materials to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence in the pupil.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role or working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to pupil success.
