The School and Role
This Specialist Secondary School, based in Wickford are seeking a passionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide specialist care to students with moderate learning difficulties. As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with students with varying mental health needs as well as additional learning needs. You will be working with students in the specialist classrooms, therapy rooms and sensory rooms. This school offers a holistic learning environment to teach students a range of life skills, equipped with a swimming pool, music classrooms, allotments for gardening and art rooms. The provision also provides the students with a nurturing and calming environment for them to thrive in. 1:1 Learning Support Assistants at this school must be prepared to support students not just in the classroom, but outside as well using the facilities to teach academic skills, life skills and social skills. Seeking 1:1 Learning Support Assistants with resilience, confidence and a warm personality who can provide expert guidance to students with Autism, ADHD, PMLD and physical disabilities.
