Pembrokeshire County Council is recruiting a Teaching Assistant at Level 2 for 1:1 support at St Teilo's Catholic Primary School. This fixed-term role runs until 31 August 2027, part-time (25 hours per week) during term time (45.8 weeks per year).

The post provides individual learner support to enable full access to learning in an inclusive setting. We seek a committed, patient candidate with safeguarding awareness and a pro‑active approach to teamwork, supporting the learner’s development under

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or GCSEs).
• Experience working with children.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Awareness of the Curriculum for Wales.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 support to a learner, ensuring safety and access to learning.
• Support social, emotional, physical and educational development.
• Assist in implementing development plans and behaviour strategies.
• Work with the class teacher to support activities and monitor progress.
• Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion at all times.
