Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient, supportive EOTAS Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support for a young person in Minehead. The role focuses on adapting teaching styles to meet individual learning needs, fostering a calm and structured learning environment, and supporting literacy, numeracy, and GCSE preparation where relevant.

Experience with secondary-aged learners, SEND/SEMH needs, and a safeguarding-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged learners.
• Experience with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one tuition to a secondary-aged learner accessing EOTAS provision.
• Support learner across relevant subjects and GCSE preparation as needed.
• Identify gaps in knowledge and provide targeted support.
• Adapt lesson pace and resources to individual needs and maintain a calm, structured environment.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the learner's education.
