Job summary

Qteg is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a Lambeth primary school. The role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support to a non-verbal child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other complex needs, both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will use visual aids, structured routines and alternative communication strategies to support engagement, learning and daily school activities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting non-verbal children with ASD.
• Ability to use visual aids and structured routines.
• Ability to adapt approaches to meet individual needs.
• Experience providing 1:1 support in a primary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support inside and outside the classroom.
• Help the child access lessons and participate in activities.
• Support transitions and develop independence.
• Support social interaction and emotional regulation with consistent strategies.
