This role is about consistency, trust, and being the steady presence a child can rely on.
We’re working with a welcoming specialist school in Durham who are looking for a 1:1 Behavioural Support Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. These children may display behaviours that communicate unmet needs, and the school is looking for someone who understands that behaviour is never “just behaviour”.
If you’re calm under pressure, great at building relationships, and believe every child deserves to feel safe and understood, this could be a really rewarding next step.
Thrive trained? Brilliant. Not yet? We’ve got you. We offer free Thrive training to help you develop trauma‑informed, emotionally aware approaches that specialist schools genuinely value.
If this sounds like your kind of role, let’s have a chat and talk through the school, the pupils, and what support looks like day to day.
