Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role at a special school in Bromsgrove. The ideal candidate will support students with special educational needs, including Autism and ADHD, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for a committed and proactive SEND Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at a welcoming all-age special school in Bromsgrove. This is a full-time position, ideally starting in September, but we are open to an earlier start for the right candidate. Our school supports students from the ages of 4 to 19 years, with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and complex learning. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs • Work collaboratively with class teachers, parents/carers, and external therapists • Help create and maintain a calm, supportive learning environment • Assist with developing tailored resources and activities to support individual learning plans • Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour and communication Requirements: • Proven experience supporting children or vulnerable adults with additional needs such as Autism or ADHD • A strong understanding of SEND and a passion for inclusive education • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible under pressure • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Details: • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm • Pay: From £13.86 per hour / £89 per day • Location: Bromsgrove If you’re enthusiastic, compassionate, and ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people, apply now with your CV to secure your place for September!
