Job summary

Esland Bedford School is seeking an Alternative Provision Tutor to work 1:1 with selected pupils through the school's internal AP programme. The role focuses on re-engagement and long-term wellbeing within a nurturing SEMH environment.

You will plan and deliver targeted activities, maintain Support Plans, and collaborate with carers, teachers and the SLT to ensure pupils receive appropriate support and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar setting or Alternative Provision.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain Support Plans for specific pupils.
• Mentor individual pupils and support re-engagement.
• Deliver ½ day AP sessions, including off-site sessions.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of children and young people.
• Liaise with SLT to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.
• Participate in meetings affecting pupil welfare and progress.
• Provide feedback to parents and teachers as needed.
• Collaborate with senior staff and support teams.
