Aston University is seeking a part-time Purchasing Officer to provide financial support within its College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. This role involves collaboration with staff and managing purchasing and invoicing tasks, all while promoting equality and diversity. The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) is seeking to appoint a Purchasing Officer on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on delivering excellent administrative support within the College. The role offers a mix of on-campus work and some tasks that can be completed remotely.
As a Purchasing Officer, you will provide high-quality financial support to enhance the academic and research environment for staff and postgraduate research students within the College. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will also collaborate closely with the Operations team, a supportive and friendly group where your professional development can thrive.
In this role, you will support Schools, Research Institutes, and Research Centres by assisting with purchasing, invoicing, capital equipment tenders, and other finance-related tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will have the opportunity to use your excellent communication skills to build networks across the University, connect with key professional services departments, and liaise with staff at all levels.
