A prestigious healthcare provider is seeking a Band 6/7 Stoma Care / Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their award-winning team. The role involves providing high-level care and support for patients with stoma and bowel disorders, delivering training, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have extensive nursing experience and qualifications in colorectal care. This full-time position is based in Barnsley, England.
Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an awardwinning well established Stoma Care / Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist(CNS) Team that has a vacancy for a Band 6/7 Stoma Care / Colorectal CNS tojoin this dynamic team. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in developingskills in Stoma Care and Colorectal Nurse Specialism or someone who already hasthe skills in this speciality. You need to be dynamic, pro-active and a team player.
The service works with the wider multi-disciplinaryteam both within the trust and our external partners covering all aspects ofstoma and colorectal care both cancer and non cancer related.
This is a full time Monday to Friday permanent rolebased within the Trust and you will work with the existing Clinical NurseSpecialist team and our support staff.
Provide highlevel care in stoma and bowel care management, psychological and emotionalsupport to patients, relatives and key workers this includes (but notexhaustive) stoma care training and support to the patients of barnsleyincluding ward support. Breaking bad news and supporting patients and familiesfollowing a cancer diagnosis. Providing care to patients and families withother bowel related disorders.
