Job description

0.6 Practical Instructor in Engineering

£23,623 - £27,185 per annum plus a potential of up to £5k per annum market premium dependent on qualifications, skills, and experience (pro rata)

Contractual hours - 22.2

The Role

Working across both the Higher and Further Education Engineering departments to support and resource the teaching staff across all courses within the College’s engineering programmes. This includes maintaining practical equipment, providing practical demonstrations, and delivering technical instruction to students. You will assist with the strategic planning of facility development and establish a robust maintenance schedule for equipment, working cooperatively as part of a large team.

What we are looking for

You should have a UK Honours degree or ENIC-recognised degree in a related discipline, a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, and experience operating relevant equipment. Experience in instructing and developing practical delivery in an Engineering context, along with familiarity with the latest technological developments in the field, is also required.
