Job summary

Ajax Turner Company is seeking a Wine & Spirits Picker/Auditor to accurately select customer orders, build stable pallets, and load outbound trucks for next-day delivery. You will use a voice-directed picking system and equipment like a ride-on pallet jack and stand-up order picker in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and efficient auditing of picks, with a focus on reducing errors and ensuring correct labeling and routing for each pallet.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Adequate reading and math skills for counting and labeling tasks.
• Able to follow voice-directed picking instructions precisely.
• Experience with pallet jacks and order pickers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate pallet jack, order picker, reach truck and other equipment.
• Complete and document pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Use voice-directed system to select item, location, and quantity.
• Build stable pallets and ensure correct pallet labels.
• Transport pallets to wrapping area and ensure secure loading.
• Verify pallets and labels before loading onto outbound trucks.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized picking and loading areas.
• Report shortages, damage, or discrepancies to supervision.
• Maintain required picking rate and accuracy per standards.
