Job summary

Allianz Group internship in Global Operations (COO) within the Workforce Management team focuses on forecasting future volumes to support staffing and service levels. You’ll work with data using Python, validate forecasts against actuals, and explain findings clearly to stakeholders.

You’ll learn end-to-end production forecasting and contribute to model improvements while collaborating with Data OPS and cross-functional teams in a global, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s-level student in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Python for data analysis with pandas, numpy, scikit-learn.
• Good grounding in statistics and time series concepts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reporting).
• Clear written and spoken English and ability to explain technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Support long-term volume forecasts for units and document assumptions for reviews with Operations managers and WFM capacity planners.
• Contribute to regular reviews comparing actuals with forecasts to improve accuracy.
• Analyze data to spot trends, patterns and outliers for reporting.
• Learn to run and maintain the forecasting model (Python/Prophet) for assigned country or line of business.
• Collaborate with Data OPS and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy across reporting platforms.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and stakeholder reporting under team guidance.
• Work with AI, ML, data analytics and cloud tools following governance and security standards.
