Vulcain Engineering Group in France is seeking a Welding Engineer – IWE to act as a technical reference for welding and NDE on EPC projects. You will ensure compliance with contractual requirements and international codes while supporting engineering, fabrication and construction teams.

Requirements include an engineering degree with IWE, fluent English, review of specifications, development of welding procedures, and management of subcontractor documents to deliver safe and compliant facilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with IWE certification.
• Experience as Welding Engineer on EPC or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDE, and heat treatment.
• Strong interfacing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Review client/specifications and prepare project-specific welding deliverables.
• Perform gap analysis of applicable design and fabrication codes for pressure vessels, piping, and structures (ASME, EN/ISO, DNV, API, AWS, ASTM, etc.), including NDE standards.
• Prepare Welding and NDE specifications to be attached to Material Requisitions.
• Identify and select the most appropriate welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, SAW, etc.) and associated welding procedures.
• Manage the review of Subcontractor technical documentation during EPC phases, including: Welding Books (WPS, PQR), NDE and PWHT procedures, Material Specifications, MPS, and testing procedures.
• Respond to Client and Vendor technical queries during clarification phases, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
