Job Description:

VP Global Asset Lead Corabotase

Division / Function:

Neuroscience

Manager’s Job Title:

EVP, Neuroscience & Aesthetics

Ipsen Job Profile:

Asset Lead

Location:

Paris, or London

WHAT - Summary & Purpose of the Position

The VP Global Asset Lead, Corabotase Tx is the single global enterprise owner for Corabotase Therapeutics, accountable for shaping and delivering the integrated asset strategy across migraine, spasticity, cervical dystonia and future therapeutic opportunities. The role is responsible for moving Corabotase Tx from current proof-of-concept and Phase 2/Phase 3 planning through PFR investment decisions, pivotal development, regulatory strategy, access readiness, and global launch preparation.

This role carries a strong enterprise, development and commercial bias. The Asset Lead must build the investment case for Corabotase Tx, define where Ipsen should play, determine how Ipsen can win, and ensure the asset is not assessed in isolation but as part of the broader Neuroscience franchise alongside Dysport, migraine infrastructure, Ax-Tx pricing considerations and portfolio-level value creation.

Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
1. Own the integrated global Corabotase Tx asset strategy
Lead one coherent global strategy for Corabotase Tx across all prioritised therapeutic indications, translating the asset vision into an integrated cross-functional plan with clear development, regulatory, medical, access, commercial, manufacturing, financial and governance priorities.
  • Own the global Corabotase Tx strategy and value creation plan across priority therapeutic indications.
  • Define the role of Corabotase within the broader Neuroscience franchise, including its relationship with Dysport and future portfolio opportunities.
  • Translate the asset ambition into clear enterprise choices on indication prioritisation, development sequencing, investment allocation and launch readiness.
2. Drive development strategy, PFR readiness and stage-gate decision-making
Ensure Corabotase Tx progresses through development and governance with the level of evidence, clarity and strategic discipline required for major investment decisions.
  • Lead the integrated development strategy from proof-of-concept through pivotal development, filing and launch preparation.
  • Define indication-specific development pathways, investment requirements, probability of success and value creation opportunities.
  • Deliver decision-ready recommendations and governance materials for PFR, senior leadership and Board review.
3. Define indication prioritisation, sequencing and value proposition
Lead the strategic choices on which therapeutic indications Corabotase Tx should pursue, in which order, and with what differentiated value proposition.
  • Own indication prioritisation and sequencing across therapeutic opportunities to maximise long-term enterprise value.
  • Define differentiated value propositions grounded in patient needs, customer insights, market dynamics and access realities.
  • Ensure strategic choices are based on realistic value capture and competitive advantage rather than theoretical market potential alone.
4. Build the US-first commercial, access and forecasting strategy
Own the global commercial strategy for Corabotase Tx, with particular focus on the U.S. as the largest value driver and the market where adoption, access and economics will determine success.
  • Lead long-range forecasting, commercial strategy and launch readiness planning across priority markets.
  • Define realistic value capture scenarios and the capabilities, investments and partnerships required to deliver them.
  • Ensure commercial strategies are grounded in robust customer, payer, provider and competitive insights.
5. Manage portfolio interactions with Dysport and Corabotase Ax
Ensure Corabotase Tx is managed as part of Ipsen’s broader neurotoxin and neuroinhibitor portfolio rather than as a standalone asset.
  • Optimize portfolio value by managing interactions, synergies and resource allocation across Dysport, Corabotase Tx and Corabotase Ax.
  • Define franchise strategies that maximise overall value creation while managing cannibalisation and lifecycle opportunities.
  • Lead scenario planning around pricing, access, competitive dynamics and portfolio evolution.
6. Lead governance, cross-functional alignment and enterprise decision-making
Create clear, disciplined governance for Corabotase Tx across the Global Asset Team, partner functions and senior decision-making bodies.
  • Lead and integrate a high-performing cross-functional Global Asset Team aligned around common objectives and priorities.
  • Establish effective governance, decision rights, escalation pathways and performance management processes.
  • Bring concise, data-driven and decision-ready recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
7. Manage Asset Budget
  • Own the Corabotase Tx investment plan, budget and resource allocation across the asset lifecycle.
  • Ensure investment decisions are linked to value creation, risk reduction and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor performance, optimise resource deployment and support key investment decisions.
8. Ethics & Compliance
  • Complete all activities in compliance with Ipsen policies, R&D SOPs, GCP, and relevant national/international regulations.
Knowledge & Experience (essential):
  • Senior global pharmaceutical leader with strong experience in asset leadership, late-stage development, commercial strategy or global launch preparation.
  • Proven ability to lead a complex asset from development through investment decision-making, launch planning and value capture.
  • Strong experience in the US pharmaceutical market, including payer access, provider economics, HCP segmentation, forecasting, launch investment and competitive strategy.
  • Strong understanding of how clinical development, regulatory strategy, evidence generation, payer value, medical strategy and commercial execution interact.
  • Experience making prioritisation decisions across indications, markets and development options.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a matrix without relying only on direct authority.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, pressure-test forecasts and translate uncertainty into clear executive choices.
Education / Certifications (essential):
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences or Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
Language(s) (essential):

English, other languages an advantage.
