DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking professional voice talents for two TTS projects, requiring native or idiomatic fluency in English (US/UK), Spanish (US/Spain), German, French, Italian, or Polish. Selected performers will provide 3–6 hours per project of scripted narration through the Media Director platform, with a 30–60 second WAV sample for screening.

At DataForce, we are seeking professional male and female voice talents for 2 projects involving narrative voice recordings to support the development of text-to-speech (TTS) technology.

As part of the casting process, applicants are required to submit a voice sample for evaluation. Please note that voice samples will be used solely for screening and selection purposes. Sample submissions are not compensated.

Project Scope

Selected voice talents will be presented to our client for consideration for 2 different TTS projects each requiring 3-6 hours of scripted audio. Recordings will be completed through our proprietary recording platform, Media Director.

Project Mulberry

The voice recordings made in this project will be used in creation of a TTS voice capable of narrating audiobooks. A separate buyout fee is included in the rate for this project and you will be asked to sign an Assignment of Rights Agreement.

Project Silkroad

The voice recordings made in this project will be used as data for training and testing existing TTS models. (No buyout fee will be offered for this project since voice cloning is not included).

Compensation

Project compensation, including recording fee and a buyout fee (if applicable), will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and confirmed upon selection.

Requirements

• Professional recording experience
• Idiomatic fluency in the target language: English (US), Spanish (US), English (UK), German (Germany), French (France), Spanish (Spain), Italian (Italy), Polish (Poland). Good English communication and comprehension skills
• Age 18+
• Ability to record in a professional-quality home studio or access to a professional recording studio
• Wired microphone

Casting sample requirements

• A 30–60-second voice sample in WAV (.wav) format
• A narrative delivery style
• Voice only (no background music or sound effects)
• The sample must be recorded entirely in the target language you are applying for
