Job summary

Private Family Office is seeking an experienced VIP Helicopter Captain for a yacht-based operation on a dual-season basis between the Mediterranean and Caribbean. You will fly VIPs aboard an Airbus H135 as a single pilot or with a small crew, including deck landings and close coordination with the captain and shore-side teams.

The role emphasizes flight safety, high discretion, and exceptional passenger experience across both cruising regions with a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off roster, flexible

Qualifications

• ATPL(H) license or willingness to obtain.
• 3,000+ total flight hours with twin-engine and deck-landing experience.
• VIP/yacht-based background preferred.
• Class 1 medical certificate.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Single-pilot VIP/vVIP flying for owner, family and guests (Airbus H135).
• Deck landings on the yacht's helipad, day and night operations.
• Coordinate closely with captain, crew and shore-side ops team.

Job description

A private Family Office is seeking an experienced VIP Helicopter Captain for a yacht-based operation aboard a superyacht, operating on a dual-season basis between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. This is a newly established operation offering the opportunity to help shape it from the ground up.

The Role

• Single-pilot and multi-crew VIP/VVIP flying for the owner, family, and guests (Airbus H135)
• Deck landings (day and night) on the yacht's helipad, plus operations at private and public locations across both cruising regions
• Close coordination with the yacht's captain, crew and shore-side operations team
• Full responsibility for flight safety, operational standards and passenger experience at the highest level of discretion

Roster
3 weeks on / 3 weeks off, though in practice flexible around operational need - off time coordinated directly with the operating captain team rather than a rigid fixed pattern.

Requirements

• ATPL(H), current type rating or ability to obtain one
• Minimum 3,000+ total flight hours, meaningful twin-engine and deck-landing experience
• Prior VIP, yacht-based, or comparable high-standards operational background strongly preferred
• Class 1 medical, fluent English
• Based in Europe; flexible to reposition between the Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons
